Our website incorporates videos from the GIZ YouTube channel. These videos are stored on the video platform YouTube, run by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin, Ireland), and can be played directly on our website.
These are applied under YouTube’s extended data protection guidelines and using a 2-Click-Solution. If you visit one of our pages featuring a YouTube plugin, the videos are additionally deactivated (not available) as you load the page so that the data is not automatically transferred to the YouTube servers, which may be situated outside the European Economic Area. The videos can be played after the user consents to the respective processing of the data through clicking on the video (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO). A data connection to the YouTube servers is only created after you actively click.
When you play the videos, certain data will be transferred to Google. This happens independently from whether you have a YouTube or Google account that you are logged into, or whether you do not have a user account at all. When you are logged in to Google, your information can be assigned directly to your account. We do not have influence on the data processing of Google. Further information on the processing of your data through Google can be found here https://policies.google.com/privacy.
